Supervisors of the Checklist

The 3 Supervisors of the Checklist are elected officials serving the voters of the Town of Bedford, New Hampshire each with terms of 6 years.

Duties of the Supervisors


  • Duties of the Supervisors are as follows:
  • Determining if an applicant is legally qualified to vote
  • Updating the Checklist of registered voters, which includes:
    • Changing party affiliations as the law permits
    • Entering newly registered voters
    • Making address changes and corrections
    • Making name changes and corrections
    • Removing voters no longer eligible to vote in Bedford

Determining Qualifications of Applicants


When determining the qualifications of an applicant, the Supervisors of the Checklist shall require the applicant to present proof of citizenship, age, and domicile (RSA 654:12). For more information, see our Determining Applicant Qualifications page.

Checklist Maintenance


The Supervisors of the Checklist will make all necessary changes to the Checklist during regular office hours. Approval of all changes will be made during posted public sessions. These sessions will be posted at the Bedford Library and the Town Office lobby. State mandated sessions will appear posted at the Bedford Library, Town Office lobby, published in a newspaper of general circulation in the town and on BCTV.
