The Bedford Police Department would like to share the updates on the road construction in the following areas for the next two weeks.  

North Amherst and Campbell Roads Project Weekly Schedule:

Week of October 9th:

The contractor will continue their efforts on phase I of the project on Campbell Road from the intersection of Steeple View Lane/ Wellesley Drive to North Amherst Road. The schedule includes resetting of granite curbing along the road and at the reconfigured island at the intersection of Campbell Road and North Amherst Road. The contractor will also loam and seed the shoulders on this segment of roadway.

Phase II will commence, this work extends from the intersection of Wallace Road and North Amherst Road to the intersection of Campbell Road and North Amherst Road. This work includes reclaiming, grading and paving binder course of asphalt on North Amherst Road and the installation of Cape Cod Berm at various locations.

Note: Daily detours occur promptly at 8:00am and continue to 5:00 pm. See the map below for details.

Week of October 16th:

The contractor is scheduled continue with phase II; this includes resetting of drainage and manhole castings, hand paving and fine grading and general shoulder cleanup. Phase III closed drainage work will commence on Campbell Road, this work extends from Pembroke Way to the intersection of Powder Hill Road/ Atherstone Lane. Detour plan to follow.
