We have several updates to share with you, so please excuse this multi-topic email. Read to the end to make sure you see it all!
Traffic/Construction Updates:
-First, beginning today 3/6/18 - LEFT HAND TURNS from Bedford Center Road onto Route 101 (vicinity of BVI) are NO LONGER ALLOWED. There will be temporary signs in place until the permanent signs can be erected. Please - plan your travel accordingly. This is a permanent traffic flow change.
-Next: Starting Monday, March 12th construction will be resuming on Route 101. This work will start with drainage installations and other low impact work on the North side of Rte. 101. During this work daily lane shifts will be implemented causing minor delays to the traveling public. This phase will continue for several weeks to a month dependent upon the weather impact and a long term lane shift will be installed and barrier deployed.
Community Events:
-Wednesday, March 28th BeBOLD and the Bedford PTG are excited to co-sponsor a presentation for all parents, caregivers, and guardians titled "Understanding How to Parent so that Children Can Succeed: Addressing Childhood Anxiety and its Potential Pathway towards Substance Abuse". The featured speaker and special guest is Jessica Lahey, author of "The Gift of Failure". This event goes from 7:00pm - 8:15pm at the Bedford High School Auditorium. Jessica Lahey will provide insight on how to raise kids who are happy and healthy and less likely to turn to destructive coping strategies. -UPDATE: The "Hiding In Plain Sight: A Social Media/Human Trafficking Summit" that was previously scheduled for Wednesday, March 7th is being RESCHEDULED due to the impending snow storm. The NEW date is Monday, April 9th with general admission beginning at 6:00 pm and the location remains at Manchester Christian Church, 56 Old Bedford Road. Please plan to join us then!
