[ARCHIVED] BPD Community Policing Announces Food Drive

The Bedford Police Department Community Policing Division Invites YOU to help us fill plates in Bedford this Thanksgiving!! We will be conducting a canned FOOD DRIVE to benefit the Bedford Community Food Pantry which is located at the Bedford Presbyterian Church. As they state on the Bedford Community Food Pantry website-

"Food insecurity is a growing concern across the nation and right here in our own backyard. Nearly 350 adults and children in Bedford qualify for food stamps. More than 160 families in Bedford meet the income standards for the government's free school lunch program."

So contrary to what we may think, there is a local need and we would like to try to help.

Beginning November 1st thru November 18th we will be collecting food at the Bedford PD, 55 Constitution Drive, Bedford, NH. Drop off your donations in the boxes provided in our outer lobby 24/7.

The following items are in high demand:
*Canned fruit *Cereal *Jelly *Peanut butter *Canned tuna *Soup *Pasta *Canned beans *Plastic Bottled Juice *Canned pasta, chili, beef stew *Canned pasta sauce *Snacks, crackers, cookies
*Any non-perishable Thanksgiving fixings
